About Hanne Tierney:
Hanne Tierney is a visual and performance artists and the founder of FiveMyles exhibition and performance space in Crown Heights. FiveMyles was founded and incorporated as a non-profit in 1999. Their mission is to advance public interest in innovative experimental work; to identify and exhibit the work of under-represented artists, and to engage the local community through participation in the arts.She has performed her puppetry/object theater at the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum, BAM’s Artist in Action project, at theater festivals throughout Europe and at the Jim Henson International Festival of Puppet Theater. She received an OBIE in 2000.
